Capitol's current motion picture, UNCONSCIOUS, stars Peter Friedman (I'm Not There, The Savages, Paycheck), Adam LeFevre (Recount, Adam, Law & Order), Benjamin Walker (The War Boys, Flags of Our Fathers, Kinsey), Brian Tarantina (The Black Donnellys, The Brave One, Heroes) and Josh Pais (Adventureland, Wherever You Are, Phone Booth). UNCONSCIOUS, produced jointly with Helios Productions, was written by George Williams and directed by multiple Emmy award winner Bradley Wigor. The motion picture is distributed in the United States and Canada by All Channel Films, Los Angeles. |

Biographies Peter Friedman (Father William Flaherty) - Peter's 2007 motion picture performances included roles in I'm Not There, Spinning into Butter and The Savages. On television, he played the District Attorney in Damages. Peter originated the role of Tateh in the musical Ragtime in its world premiere in Toronto, as well as on Broadway, receiving an Outer Critics Circle Award and Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations. He was in the original New York productions of The Heidi Chronicles by Wendy Wasserstein and Simon Gray's The Common Pursuit (earning Drama Desk nominations for both), A Soldier's Play by Charles Fuller, C.P.Taylor's …and a Nightingale Sang and Execution of Justice by Emily Mann. He also appeared in New York in The Tenth Man by Paddy Chayefsky, Donald Margulies' The Loman Family Picnic, Israel Horovitz' My Old Lady and the recent Broadway revival of Reginald Rose's Twelve Angry Men. His prior films include Paycheck, Safe, The Seventh Sign, Single White Female, Blink and Freedomland. On television he was a performer on The Muppet Show, and a regular on the series Brooklyn Bridge. Adam Lefevre (Detective Terry Rice) - Adam is one of the busiest actors in both features and television. His 2008 movies include Adam, College Road Trip and Fool's Gold. He aappeared in a half dozen features during 2007. His prior films include The Invasion, The Manchurian Candidate, Hearts in Atlantis, Rounders, Two Weeks Notice, Philadelphia, The Bonfire of the Vanities, Hitch, You Can Count on Me and some forty other motion pictures. His television movies and series roles include many episodes of Law & Order, Rescue Me, Empire Falls, As the World Turns and a host of other programs. Josh Pais (Warner Wilcott) - Josh's 2008 motion pictures include Synecdoche, Adventureland, Wherever You Are, and Assassination of a High School Principal. His 2007 films included Neal Cassady, Watching the Detectives, Year of the Dog, Teeth and The Key Man. His numerous television roles included the recurring role of Zev Charney in the final seasons of The Sopranos. He has worked extensively On and Off-Broadway, including THE STARRY MESSENGER, on Broadway with Matthew Broderick. He has had featured roles in many movies including A Beautiful Mind, The Station Agent, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (as Raphael), Phone Booth, Music of the Heart, A Civil Action, Rounders and Find Me Guilty. He wrote, directed and produced the award winning documentary, 7TH STREET and is the creator and sole master teacher of Committed Impulse Actor Training. He currently teaches at NYU (The Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School) and has taught at Yale and The New School. John Speredakos (Detective Eddie Flynn) - John's latest feature I Sell the Dead, is in post-production. Brian Tarantina (Morelli) - Brian's busy feature career spans some 30 films, and include The Brave One, A Crime, City by the Sea, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Donnie Brasco, Carlito's Way, Born on the Fourth of July, and others. His television career includes a dozen appearances as Vinnie on The Black Donnellys in 2007, as well as many roles on Law & Order, The Sopranos, Crossing Jordan, The Gilmore Girls, NYPD Blue, and a host of other series, television movies and specials. On his role as Morelli, the hit man in Unconscious: "The only movie where I get to kiss a good-looking woman, and I have to hold a razor to her crotch to do it." Ben Walker (John Stradlater) - Ben appears in the 2008 motion picture The War Boys. He was featured in Flags of Our Fathers. His earlier appearance in Kinsey, playing the sex researcher as a 19 year old young man, led to his being noticed and cast as the troubled John Stradlater in Unconscious. His fast-rising career continued with a starring role in Flags of our Fathers. Jessica Almasy (Melanie Stradlater) - Jessica's motion picture appearances include the 2007 feature Noise. On the small screen, she played Ginger on Law and Order. Actress, Writer. Recent NYC: Ariel in Aquila's The Tempest at the Clark Theatre Lincoln Center, Mankynde in Mankynde at the Soho Playhouse (2004 Fringe Festival), and the development of new works at 92nd Street Y and NYU. With The TEAM: Viola/Sebastian in Twelfth Night; Alice in Faster; The Paranoid in Give Up! Start Over! (Fringe First in Edinburgh 2005, BAC/London, Arches/Glasgow); Hamlet in A Thousand Natural Shocks (Edinburgh, Bath Shakespeare Festival). At the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe, for her work on Give Up! Start Over! and A Thousand Natural Shocks, she was nominated for the Jack Tinker Spirit of the Fringe Award. Jessica is Co-Artistic Director of The TEAM and earned her BFA at NYU. Jose Llana (Dr. Avila) - Jose Llana was born in Manila, Philippines and raised near Washington, D.C. He moved to New York City after high school to attend The Manhattan School of Music Conservatory as a classical voice major. At the age of nineteen, during his freshman year, he landed his first starring role on Broadway in The King and I as Lun Tha opposite Lou Diamond Phillips and Donna Murphy. Other Broadway: Chip Tolentino in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Drama Desk Award), Wang Ta in Flower Drum Song (starring opposite Lea Salonga), Angel in Rent, Jessie-Lee in Streetcorner Symphony. George Williams (Writer, Producer) - George's produced screenplays include Lemonade and Rum with a Twist, winner of a Best Screenplay Award at the Palm Beach International Film Festival in 2004. He plays Captain Diddian in Unconscious. His screenplays have enjoyed success in competitions, and his script The Pool Man was a finalist for the $150,000 IFP award. "Writing and producing are the only way I can get acting roles." Brad Wigor (Director) - This is Brad's first theatrical feature. His many previous directorial successes include The Sandy Bottom Orchestra for Showtime, the Emmy-award winning film starring Glenne Headly and Jane Powell, What Happened to Bobby Earl?, Love in the Dark Ages (Directors Guild of America Award nomination), Dedicated to the One I Love and Words to Live By. His producer credits are numerous, and include Crash Landing: The Rescue of Flight #232 starring Charlton Heston, James Coburn and Richard Thomas and a host of other films. Brad got his directing start with CBS Schoolbreak Specials, and he has garnered eleven Emmy nominations, winning two, as well as many other prizes including the Humanitas Prize, NEA award, Parent's Choice Gold Award, and others. Wigor says, "I have been interested in exploring the theme of personal responsibility in my films for the last several years. Even in the midst of suffering, we still have to choose what we are going to do next." Eve Battaglia, CSA - Eve has been a casting director in NYC for over ten years, and it looks like 2008 is her busiest ever. Motion pictures include Jacky Peek, Buddy Gilbert Comes Home Alive, Home, The Poker Club, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead, Frame of Mind, Sordid Things, Beyond Wiseguys and Frost. Her independent features are seen at film festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto, Berlin and Cannes. Prior film projects include Transamerica, for which star Felicity Huffman won the Golden Globe, The Indie Spirit and "Best Performance By An Actress" award at the Tribeca Film Festival '05, in addition to being nominated for an Academy Award. Eve has cast numerous theater productions on and off-broadway for the Manhattan Theater Club, Primary Stages, Actors Theater of Louisville, and The Circle Repertory Company.
